PALS
Students and RSVP Volunteers correspond with each other throughout
the school year. Both age groups are encouraged to learn about each
other's school experiences, home life and hobbies. Everyone involved is
encouraged to write at least once a month.
Working
one-on-one will enable the older citizens and children to converse, share their
thoughts and create a closer friendship.
Volunteers are given the
opportunity to each lunch with their pen pal sometime throughout the year and everyone gets together at the end of the school year to say good-byes or make plans to keep writing to each other.
